Be Anything But Cookie Cutter
Like it or not, the holidays are here again. Yes, folks, it’s December…the month we usually take a mental vacation, gorge ourselves on ridiculous amounts of chocolate, fruitcake and peppermint, and tell ourselves it’s too late to get anything else accomplished this year.
Wait. Does this really HAVE to be the case?
The first week in December traditionally marks “National Cookie Cutter Week”. And while it sounds a little ridiculous, in my mind, that means seven straight days of figuratively celebrating the idea of being just like everyone else.
Are you up for something different this year?
Instead of being just like everyone else, use this week as inspiration…to be anything but cookie cutter! Here are my top 3 tips for standing out this month:
- Dress up your corporate logo (Google is your role model here). Add a hat, a coat, a scarf…something festive for the winter. This is easy to do, inexpensive, and will bring a smile to your customer’s faces. While you’re at it, why not do this for other holidays during the year, too?
- Send a video card to your customers & prospects. Grab your web or flip cam, gather your employees and sing one or two holiday carols together. Then upload you video to YouTube or Vimeo (or to your own website) for easy sharing. Spreading holiday cheer has never been so simple.
- Customize postage stamps for your holiday cards. Use your corporate logo (another great way to showcase your new holiday logo!), a holiday picture of your team or even a fun holiday message. Your card will definitely stand out.
Whatever you decide to do, be anything but cookie cutter!
